Hoover Fellowships 2011-2012We are pleased to inform you about the various possibilities of post-doctoral stays at the Hoover Chair next academic year.We are pleased to inform you about the various possibilities of post-doctoral stays at the Hoover Chair next academic year. Next academic year, three types of post-doctoral stays are possible at the Hoover Chair. In all three cases, * Candidates must be scholars from outside Belgium, who hold a doctorate or possess equivalent qualifications and are active in the field of economic or social ethics. At least some rudiments of French and an active knowledge of either English or French are required. * Scholars with an active interest inthe main research themes of the Hoover Chair's permanent members are particularly welcome. These themes include theories of social justice, ritical political economy, theories of democracy, the future of the welfare state, the tension between cultural diversity and economic solidarity, the potential and limits of corporate social responsibilty, intergenerational justice, linguistic justice, workplace democracy, transparency in collective decision making, the stigmatization of social categories in historical perspective, etc. * Successful candidates will be full members of the Hoover Chair for the duration of their stay. They will be provided with office space, internet connection, free access to various other services, some secretarial assistance, and some help in finding accommodation. They will be welcome to take an active part in the Chaire Hoover's activities and will have access to the University's seminars, lecture courses and libraries. More information | |||
