Post-Graduate School in Economics

BEROC announces call for applications for Post-Graduate School in Economics.

The fifth module Macroeconomics-1: Growth model: Motivation, Foundations and Applications will be held on April 19-23, 2010. Please register by e-mail akelyeva@beroc.by or cell phone (+375 29) 676 50 14 as soon as possible.

The school will consist of 7 one-week-long modules on Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics and Labor Markets with intensive lectures and coursework that will be held during 2009-2010 academic year.

2 modules in Econometrics
Module 1: Econometrics-1: Introduction to Panel Data methods and their application (November 24-28, 2009)
Module 2: Econometrics-2: Applied Microeconometrics (December 22-26, 2009)

2 modules in Microeconomics
Module 3: Microeconomics-1: Foundations and General Equilibrium (February 8-12, 2010)
Module 4: Microeconomics-2: Game Theory and Applications (March 1-5, 2010)

2 modules in Macroeconomics
Module 5: Macroeconomics-1: Growth model: Motivation, Foundations and Applications (April 19-23, 2010)
Module 6: Macroeconomics-2: Heterogeneous Agent Macroeconomics (May 17-21, 2010)

1 module in Labour Economics (Module 7, June 2010)

While BEROC allows candidates to participate in individual modules and will not discriminate on this basis while making decisions, only those who participate in all 7 modules and successfully passed all exams will be awarded Post-Graduate School Certificate at the end.

All modules will be held on the Belarus State University premises. Exact time of the lectures will be determined based on preferences of applicants indicated in the application forms.

Participation in all modules is free of charge.
